The pop-punk and emo scene is alive and well this summer (especially in the DC area, I am very happy to report!
Some special shows I’d like to highlight for the coming seasons are:
Emo Night: Live Bands (No Quick Fix and Irresponsible) and EMO TRIVIA @ The Light Horse July 13th at 7 pm
I am so thrilled that the Light Horse has partnered with our local DC Meetup group to host our VERY FIRST trivia (hosted by yours truly) and live band event! It is catered to most devoted fans with deep cuts and all! Come out and support the bands as this is a new venue for some of them. It will be an outstanding evening filled with fun, hidden emo gems, and connection. One for the books!
DC Rock, Pop-Punk and Emo Lovers Summer Social feat. The Punko Pops @ Tarbender’s Lounge July 25th at 4 pm
Our DC pop-punk meetup’s annual summer social will take place this year at Tarbender’s Lounge, a very cool little 1920’s speakeasy with amazing pizza and even better vibes. The music is what will make it though 😉 I love Punko Pops because they always play whatever the hell they want and it’s often the heavy hidden gems nobody performs! Come out. it will be a party like you’ve never seen.

Whether it’s emo faves or acoustic pop-punk hits, this man can play it all! Come out for a chill night of music and food at this cute small-town brewery!

Mystery Celebrity Private Meet and Greet @ Crescendo Studios, September 10th at 5 pm

DC Rock, Pop-Punk and Emo Lovers Fall Social feat. Emotional Fall Out and With Us or Against Us @ Shipgarten October 9th at 2 pm
Our DC pop-punk meetup’s annual fall social will take place this year at Shipgarten, a big and lively beer garden with the tastiest drinks around (including some seasonal specials!) The music is what we’re coming for though…Paramore, MCR, and emo anthems galore! EFO’s lead signer, Natali, hails from Long Island and is talented like no other, putting on a show comparable to Hayley Williams herself! Come, make new friends, and let loose!
Get out to support your local scene. Just you showing up makes a HUGE difference in artist livelihood. Go to as many shows as you can!
