Attention, elder emos…Mayday Parade just released “One day at a time” at midnight, and it brings back all the feels from growing up!

The song is little sneak peak of their upcoming album Sad, set to be released this coming October 3rd, and is the second installment of a three-part album drop, the first being Sweet, released this past April. I look forward to reviewing all three parts of the album upon their arrival!

“One Day at a Time” is a powerful ballad full of heartbreak, love, and self-reflection that is about wanting to become a better person after breaking up with someone we love. No matter what stage of life we are at, we can always relate to the pains of trying to grow as a person, whether it’s from a breakup or not.

As promised from a press release, this song is absolutely a perfect soundtrack to the upcoming fall season reminiscent of the ’90s. It delivers all the emo feels of classic Mayday Parade music that is both nostalgic and timeless. Check it out here!
