It’s here! Set It off’s new single, “Rotten,” came out on Friday, as a little sneak peak to their upcoming album, and just, WOW! I am in love!

This single is part of a new self-titled album that Set It Off will be releasing November 7th (just in time for my birthday!) and to say it is fire is…an understatement.

The song has taken a drastic turn from Set It Off’s prior discography in the best way possible, and as Cody Carson puts it according to his Instagram, it is Set It Off’s “heaviest song yet”, and I definitely agree! I’ve been on a metal kick lately and this song is really giving me A Day To Remember-inspired metalcore vibes, with the perfect sharp guitar riffs, screamo that flows well with the fast melody, a killer breakdown and an excellent dark (and a little bloody) music video!

Once again, Set It Off pivots into a different genre so beautifully while still maintaining their pop-punk/emo roots, and this is the best they’ve done so yet! Fans are stoked about the new direction this band is taking and are loving the heavier tracks the band is releasing. Check out the new single today, and as a birthday present to myself, I will definitely be reviewing the band’s new album in November. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
